Winan Creek Barn is your premier event venue located in Hanlontown, IA. We offer a full-service experience, perfect for hosting weddings, birthday celebrations, graduation parties, bridal and baby showers, corporate events, and more. The package options gave us flexibility to fit our budget, and the location was ideal for guests traveling. The property itself is absolutely stunning, and having access to the venue’s decor made everything even more special. Angie’s eye for design brought our vision to life, and the spaces she created were breathtaking.
On the wedding day, everything was seamless. The bridal and groom suites were perfect for our wedding party to relax and get ready in, and the staff made sure the day ran smoothly from start to finish. We felt completely stress-free, which is exactly what every couple hopes for.
Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the venue and decor were. We truly can’t imagine our wedding anywhere else and would choose Winan Creek Barn 1,000 times over. We highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a gorgeous space with owners who genuinely care about making your day unforgettable.

Mike and Angie are hands down the best people to work with and have the most gorgeous venue!! From someone who changes their mind often they always were so accommodating and made our vision come to life!! The venue itself is so beautiful that you don’t really need to decorate much, but with them having so many to choose from it really helps to save money as well. Plus, with them doing all of the decorating it saved so much time and was a HUGE help!!! I can’t give enough thank you and compliments to them as a people and their venue!! From touring the barn, to keeping us updated on the get ready to suite build, to picking out decor & always putting up with all my changes - they were amazing! Mike puts in the muscle & makes sure everything gets moved to where you want it & makes a fabulous drink at the bar. Angie becomes your personal wedding planner by making sure every area of the barn is decorated so very beautifully 😍🤩 the cherry on top is they have a wonderful marriage to look up too & understand how important all the “little” details are!

Winan Creek Barn was the perfect spot to have our wedding. Angie & Mike Lester were amazing hosts and very accommodating to us, our families and friends! The first thing that drew me to the venue was the fact that Angie said “you tell me what you want for decorations and I will have decorated by Friday.” That was one thing that we didn’t have to worry about and her decorations were gorgeous, very stunning! I wanted simple, yet elegant and she delivered perfectly! They were very gracious on answering all our questions throughout the planning process! Mike did an incredible job driving us on the party bus and also transporting our party guests from the hotel before and after the wedding! I wanted a venue that had everything and they did! We didn’t have to go anywhere, we could do eveything at the venue and didn’t have to worry about nothing! They were there to help throughout the entire day and it was the perfect day! Thank you Mike & Angie Lester for making the planning and our vision for wedding be possible!

Our wedding at Winan Creek Barn was not only the most beautiful wedding we could have dreamed of, but the most non-stressful way to do a wedding. The barn itself is amazing along with all the different areas outside you could get married at, great for outdoor photos. The bridal suite to get ready in was amazing plus, perfectly set up, great for both the bride and groom. Angie made this whole wedding experience so easy. Not having to purchase decorations is such an amazing part of choosing Winan. Her decorations to choose from, along with her decorating skills were so impressive. All the small details were taken care of for us, down to the yard work around the barn and simple cleanliness. Having all the yarn games, fireplaces, photo backdrops, decor, florals, signage, and anything else you could possibly need was there for us to make our day how we have dreamed it to be. We would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for their perfect wedding venue.
